My intention is to provide you with a therapeutic professional massage. These policies serve as a guide to ensure clear communication between client and therapist. Thank you for taking the time to review this page.
PAYMENT METHODS ACCEPTED: Cash,Visa, MasterCard, American Express, & Discover
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- Please call or text (520) 405-4869, or (520) 326-8300 to cancel or reschedule 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. If there is no answer please leave a message. Email is not an acceptable method for cancellations.
- If cancellation occurs in less than 24 hours, a cancellation fee of $30 wil be due prior to your next treatment. Emergencies and extenuating circumstances will be taken into consideration.
- If you do not show up for your appointment, you will be required to pay the full amount of the missed appointment before rebooking.
LATE ARRIVAL:
- Should you arrive late for your session, your appointment will end at the originally scheduled time, and you will be responsible for full payment.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- EXISTING AND NEW MEDICAL CONDITIONS: It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatments and medications, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the massage may be continued.
- The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.
- Please try to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This allows time for any paperwork, and for a relaxed, unhurried experience which will be beneficial to your treatment.
- Please turn off/silence all electronic devices when you arrive.
CLIENT'S RIGHTS:
- I am happy to adjust pressure, temperature, music volume, and work longer on an area, or move on to another area if you request it. Please feel free to voice any concerns at any time.
- You may leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop the massage at any time and are free to leave; the therapy door is never locked.
- You will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. You will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.
- Occasionally, an emotional response to massage occurs. If this happens, it is ok to express the feelings in our safe, nonjudgmental environment - or you may request privacy and end the session. You are in control.
CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY:
- Therapist may not disclose any information revealed by a client, or discovered by the therapist in connection with the treatment of a client.
- Client must sign a release of information for each occasion that information is requested to be released to any other licensed massage therapist working outside of Rooted, or licensed medical practitioner.
INFORMED CONSENT
Prior to each massage session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. At your first visit you will receive a copy of these policies and will be asked to sign the consent stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy policies and procedures. Clients who have not been seen for at least a year will also be asked to fill an intake form again.
All policies are expressly written for Charity T. McLean, LMT, and do not apply to any other therapists affiliated with Rooted Massage Tucson.
